Christopher LeGuin
Commander - Navy

I went into the Navy on July 31, 1990.  While I was getting my head shaved, Chief came in and said, "You boys are gonna get to go to war.  Sadam just invaded Kuwait."

I served in the US Navy from 1990-1996 as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) in VAW-122 Fightin' Bitin' Steeljaws.  We served at the end of Desert Storm and in support of Operation Provide Comfort onboard USS Forrestal.  We returned to the States and the carrier was decommissioned.  VAW-122 was then attached to JTF-4 Counter Narcotics Missions in various locations throughout the Caribbean.  I was honorably discharged in May of 1996 having obtained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class (AT2).

I look back on the Navy as some of the best times of my life and I'm proud to have had the privilege of serving this great country.  Now I will continue to serve as Post Commander of Post 1809.
